Re: Got wheels and tyres sorted. Went for a quick wobble. Feels great! Looks much better. Fits really well. 25c tyres so I went with 85-90 PSI but I reckon it'll need a full 100. Tyre rated to 104! Hopefully the saddle will arrive on Saturday and I need to pick up the new white bar tape...

Re: Wheels and Tyres Ooooo....wheels are here. Really good condition, hardly any wear on the cassette and they are beautifully smooth. Also have my Michelins so hopefully I can get them on the bike I the next few days.

I now have two bikes with Spoons, (Carrera Vanquish road and a Charge Cooker 29er) very comfortable for me but I'd like to try a Turbo for the authentic 80's vibe. I did ask around about the Turbo and got positive responses in the main.

Thanks, I did suspect the bars were high. I need a headset wrench, there's one on its way to me to sort it out when I get the wheels. I like the look of the Michelins and they are the OEM tyres for the bike. I always carry spare tubes and CO2 inflators so it's not as if I'll every be stranded...

I was going to sell it on but now feel a need to get it back in decent 90% original condition.

Advice much appreciated....Will be swerving this one. I'd love an older Carlton. A Worksop one. I have a Grand Prix in my shed but it's a Nottingham bike. I regularly cycle through Carlton and wanted something local I could use as a tourer.
