that's the bike I really wanted when I was at school but couldn't afford it

its a double that's going back onto it going to be a 10 speed maby 12 depends if the shimano eagle will run 6 speed ok. the original spindle was 145mm long I put a 112mm I had in and tried a old crank set and the inner ring was touching the chain stay was thinking about a 122mm one

Re: I got a square taper bb in today to make sure it would fit. Just need to order one with the proper axle length and get a few cable guides guides.

it does look like one the forks a bit straighter on mine going to be a fun project then going to give it back to my dad for his birthday he built it from bits in the early 80s and been in his shed unused for at least 20 years ever since he got his alu marin palasades trail

That was my first new mountain bike

im wanting to replace my cottered bottom bracket with a square tapered cartridge one I have no idea what threads are on the frame or how to go about finding a replacement the axle I took out is 145mm long and the bb hole is 34mm diameter

went from this to this and with the forks the right way still have know idea what the frame is but its from the 70s i think

it was yellow origanaly if that helps I think its a sun but not sure its not as bad as it looks in the pics
