A closer look reveals that the 531 sticker is a bit of a red herring! It peeled of rather too easily. The lugs are fancier than those in the pictures above and I'm pretty sure it's a Super. I'll have a good look over it at the weekend.

I grew up in Husbands Bosworth and the pub they stopped at used to be my local. :D You can't actually ride the route as they show it because there was a lot of editing. Most of it was filmed on the border of Leicestershire and Northants but the odd bit is in Warwickshire!

Just picked this frame up. Scruffy but original and straight. Are 531 Colnago's common? I'm not really in to road bikes of that era. Might consider selling and will get some pictures soon.

My almost unridden 1982 Mercian is fitted with TA, Suntour and a Campag Rally rear derailleur. A mate wants to buy the Campag for a restoration he's doing and has offered to find a replacement. I'm not fussed about which make of derailleur I have, so what would you recommend as an alternative?
