What and when? A bit of a quiz

Sorry about the terrible picture, but it gives you the idea. Seems pretty secure to me.

What and when? A bit of a quiz

Thanks a lot chaps... My wife was shown some of these at school many years ago and they were described as cycle clips as worn by the teacher's grandfather. Thanks for the link telling me the date of the patent. I saw the Ebay ad, but missed the writing on the metal case that says...

What and when? A bit of a quiz

Just a tip. The photo was taken on the macro setting, the hooks open out to be 45mm across. So probably about right for stringing up by the nostrils then...

What and when? A bit of a quiz

My wife bought this set from the local boot sale for me. We've a pretty good idea what they're for, or rather their application for cycling use... can you guess? I'll let you know in a bit... What we don't know is when they were made. Any ideas?

Marin Muirwoods, Medium, 20 1/2 inches measured C-T. Original paint and transfers - some scratches, surprisingly little rust - see the BB pic. At the moment the headset is incomplete but I'm trying to find the rest of it... I'll try for £20 Specialized Rockhopper 15 1/2 inches. Original...

    My old Raleigh reborn...

... but not quite in the spirit of Retrobike. This is my old Raleigh racing frame from the late 1980's (as far as I can recall). It lay unused for 20 years in my bedroom after I discovered mountain bikes and moved up north. Previous to it's layup it was my fast day bike/ occasional time...

The one and only "HOW MUCH IS MY xyz WORTH" thread

1990 Frontiera 531 frame Hi, new bloke here... I've just added a bike to my stable, so unfortunately the Frontiera has to go. The frame was commisioned by me from Border Cycles, Carlisle in 1990. Apparently it was actually made by Steels in Newcastle, a neighbour who worked there at the...
