    More red on my Rocky???

They're not really appropriate for vintage bikes of the 90's era, but I like the looks of these Atomlab Pimplite stems. They almost look like they're from the 50's or 60's. Funky. Pimp my ride.

    More red on my Rocky???

Yes to hs. If you like the stem you should just go for it. Personally, I don't think it goes with the rest of the bike, but who cares what I think. I'd go with ano red, although they don't always match up well either. I know Kooka and Ringle made some cool ones, but they can be pricey. I...

Wow I found my favorite bike of all time- on Ebay

It's always nice to have a gibson and a strat. There's a high pitched squeal, think Allman Brothers, that you can't get out of a Fender even with buckers. And there's that chimey 60's Strat tone you could never get out of a Gibson. But you can get almost every tone out of a strat. More...

Your paint probably wasnt nitro, which is thin and easy to work with. You did a nice job though. Half of the relics out there look like they were made with a belt sander or a pick axe. There's a company in UK, Fatboy, that make new old-looking parts for relics. My pup covers, knobs etc are...

nah it's Tanqueray Green Fender made about 100 US guitars in honor of a Prince's Trust fund concert for a contest sponsored by Tanqueray. I wasn't a winner. I was a second owner.

Wow I found my favorite bike of all time- on Ebay

Not the exact model. The exact bike. At first I thought, man this bike looks familiar. First I see the oury grips I put on. Then the short Thompson stem. Then I see the bike dealer decal from a tiny shop in Nebraska I ordered from - the seller and I live 2000 miles away from that shop. That...

    Love the one you're with

I owned one of these, although mine had a Bomber. I'm guessing those are repro decals because mine were a bit different. That was definitely one of the best bikes I ever owned; it may not have been the lightest, but the ride was buttery smooth -almost as if I was riding a couch on the trails...

Has anyone seen this paint pattern on old Konas?

Question. Seller calls the bike a 17 and says it measures 19 to top of seat tube. Would Kona sell this bike as a 19? I'm under the impression that Kona, unlike many bike companies, measures to top of seat tube when stating the size of the frame. EDIT: Never mind, it's called a 19.

Has anyone seen this paint pattern on old Konas?

Those retro style paintjobs from the 50's and 60's are considered cool today, but I wouldn't have guessed they'd go over in 91. The custom option on the Explosif Pro's make them one of the coolest bikes. Crazy sh*t.

Owner says it's original. I know Explosif Pro's offerred custom paint, but I haven't seen this pattern. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... TQ:US:1123

Thanks Anthony. That Kurust sounds very interesting. I googled it and mostly UK sites appeared, but maybe we have something over here under a different name. I see it's on Ebay as well. I don't suppose anyone is making repro chainstay protectors/decals?
