It is the non-sunfaded stripes that were covered by plastic strips and therefor not sunfaded. Hope it make sense.. Cheers

I don't know anything about the originality of the decals.. But I guess it sounds reasonable that it was repainted and new decals applied. It seems to me that the tube for the fork is made for ordinary fork sizes like the early pinnacles and not like the 92/92 attitudes..

Unfortunately the original fork has gone missing. But the 'Special' sticker is what really puzzles me, it seems like an official Klein sticker, but I have never seen it before.

What you mention seems to be non-Klein items fitted later. Look at this picture. This means pre-1994 right?

Does anyone know what we are dealing with here? Cheers
