    :wink: Totally...put a new alongside the retro, and check out frame angles, triangles etc...sod all difference...this was one design that hit the floor running; Single pivot always the way to go...and built like a truck, but lightweight with it...mine is 27.5 lb's at the minute but i'm happy...

    :wink: I would go the other way and ask what is the correct amount of seatpin to have sticking IN the frame!! If the top tube reach is correct for your size and riding requirements, then the saddle height ( and therefore seatpost length...) will be dictated by your inside leg...

    :wink: This was at 2005 mountain mayhem....not quite 1yr old 'izzy flicking through singletrack whilst dad races solo on ( now corduroyboy's) '99 GT Psyclone. Good to start 'em young on the retro stuff...mum carts her round now on her '96 GT Timberline...so ther's no getting away from it...

    Katadyn water filter....

    :D Used this twice on MTB trips to morocco...and in the scottish highlands!! Brilliant piece of kit but now not likely to do much similair sort of trips with a toddler. Only used in anger a handful of times...it's amazing tho' , the price new now is exactly the same as when i bought it 8...
