Re: The bearings in the headset are 5/32". The photo shows the caged bearings with one removed next to a new 5/32" bearing. I also saw '26.4' on the seat post. Helpful?

Glad you got one and sorry I'm not much help! Let me know if I can take any measurements. I did the headset bearings on mine today and swapped/upgraded the caged bearings for loose bearings with a good result so am feeling rather chuffed about that!

So the standover height on my 20" bike is 31 and a quarter. I bet you could ride it but with some slight junk pressage! I think you're correct in wanting a 19" though for sure in this bike. The saddle bar to the handle bar stem is 21". I've realised that my silver hardtrax needs new headset...

Re: Re: I'm 5'8", 32" inside leg I've just also bought the blue hardtrax that has been advertised a while in HItchin.... it went down to £45 and I was like this is ridiculous! I now have three Saracens, two Ridgebacks and a Raleigh, this isn't counting the bikes I bought for my wife and...

Got another one... I picked this up yesterday as my Hardtrax is looking so ridiculously mint after cleaning it (pictures to follow) that I don't want to use it every day...! So I paid over twice as much for a worse condition but higher spec 1998 Terratrax to use as my daily. :-D Here's a...

Re: Re: Haha wow but I totally get it! These things are classics. I love my one so much I'm terrified of it getting stolen as it's in such good condition and is 100% original. So I'd like a not so nice one to lock up outside when I go to places... so I'm already looking for another one... I...

Re: Ah you're a legend thank you! I have one more question... There doesn't seem to be an adjuster coming out of the right hand gear shifter but there's one at the other end near the derailleur... I think this is probably normal but wanted a second opinion!

Re: Saracen Hardtrax 1997 Hi, Here's my recently acquired 1997 Saracen Hardtrax. I am in love with it... I could do with some advice actually on how to adjust the handlebars to get it in line with the front wheel. Any tips?
