    Thanks for that, so just because it hasn't got disc tabs doesn't mean its retro (lesson learnt) Looking at the different grades of aluminium, the 6000 series isnt as strong as the 7000 so I guess it would give a slightly more comfortable ride? Although not that you would notice.

    Noob, ID the GT

    fork, as requested. All my bikes are Alu, this is why this one has an apeal to me. Was thinking of some short travel forks and it would be to keep at my bro's over in Wiltshire (save me carting my bike back and forth). P.s what's a 'groove tube'?

    Do you bike commute ?

    Yup, 5 days a week (sat mornings sometimes too). I've tried to get to work using as many different methods as possible, but quite happy with just cycling now. Cant vote, need more posts!
