There were two men named De Rosa who built bicycles, the ones that are desirable were built by Ugo De Rosa. He's the guy that built frames for Eddy Merckx when he was racing. The pictures in the first post are made by the other De Rosa. Nice frame, I'm sure, just don't pay a premium for it.

That is a really good question but I have no idea; certainly, I have never seen another one like it. Here is my girlfriend's Corsa Extra in the Hitachi colours, made from Reynolds 653: I have never found out which team raced with these colours, perhaps there never was a team that used...

There was year year when these colours were reversed, 1995. This is mine, formerly ridden by Olaf Ludwig.

I have a bike that I thought was a Superissimo but I sent the serial number to Colnago and they tell me it is a Super from 1995. What is the difference between the two bikes? T here is no tubing decal on my bike but it is definitely over-sized tubing on the down tube and seat tube.

If he is running a pawn shop of sorts, he is likely required by law to see some i.d. from the seller so, if the bike turns out to be stolen, you have recourse there. Nice bike, ride the heck out of it, it looks like it has been sitting for ages and needs a good ride.

I have never seen black lugs like that, they are usually chrome. Was this done by you or did it come that way?

Colnago Masters always look great with a straight blade chrome fork, preferably a Colnago Prescia fork.

I had a Sid Mottram bike a few years ago which had been repainted, it was built with Nervex lugs but had the same brake bridge as yours. Sadly, it was too small so I had to sell it but, wow, was it ever a nice bike. I've attached a few photos, I wish I had more, the craftsmanship was top...

Didn't a lot of riders have their frames made by Pegoretti? I read somewhere that Pegoretti designed a few frames for Giordanna as well. And didn't he design one model at least for Pinarello's line, the Radius? I would love to get my mitts on a frame that Pegoretti himself brazed.
