Kona Cinder Cone 1994 - tyre choice

Eh up, I've just acquired a Kona Cinder Cone 1994 and am stuck as to what tyres to put on it. I did immediately think of the Smoke/Dart combo, but despite the reissue I can't find them in the UK. What I'm after is some fast XC tyres that'll cope with all-day riding in the UK - not fussed about...

    Cindercone

Bump! This is actually my shamefully executed project for a pub bike. Some good stuff on it though. Would gladly sell to a forum member, will end auction for a reasonable offer. Cheers :)

    Kona Cinder Cone 2003 Sizing

Hello! Can anybody help me out with sizing for a 2003 cinder cone? I'm 5ft 9 but with a longish torso and was looking at a size 17 - online of course so I haven't been able to try it for size. Am not sure whether the 17 or 18 is classed as medium. Cheers

    1994 Lava Dome Project.

Have recently aquired a 1994 Lava Dome from ebay and am looking to rebuild the bike up for everyday riding (rather than a proper retro project). Pics: The bike was advertised as an 18" but it actually measures 19" from centre of bb to top of seat tube - which is just as...

    Lance is back

Astana is the logical choice given the fact that Bruyneel is the manager, Sean Yates is a sports director and Horner & Leipheimer are on the rosta. Well, it's logical untill you consider that Contador is also on the rosta. Competing with a team mate for yellow would not be part of the Lance...

    Lance is back

Minor point but Pantani climbed D'Huez at the end of a 203km stage when he set his record (D'Huez is always a summit finish as there's only one road up/down the mountain). There seems little doubt now that most of the big hitters in the 90's were doping systematically. If you weren't doping...
