    Seatpost size (Klein content)

As I don't own a vernier guage (it's on the list), can anyone tell me or point me in the right direction to find out, the seat post size for a 1995 Klein Fervor? I found what appears to be a tech manual for all Kleins of the era online and it had every measurement but that one... Cheers...

    Riding Rigid

My first MTB ride in a decade was last Sunday, on a fully rigid Klein of mid-nineties vintage, with some 1.95's at around 50psi. For the terrain I ride it was a liberating however very uncomfortable experience. My local area is very rutted, with lots of stones / rocks and tree roots. I found...

MM Generator - reluctant to fire up...

Could well be the carbs if it's been sat with fuel it in then the bowls may be gummed up. Get some carb cleaner from a motor spares place and squirt it direct into the carbs then try again.. Paddy

    My misses is brill!

Sounds like a good plan. My other half's next venture will be to Haldon just outside Exeter, starting with a circuit of the Adventure trail to warm up then into the red run :D I'm a bit worried though, she can climb like a damn mountain goat, once her confidence level at downhill and general...

    My misses is brill!

My other half came with me for her first proper off road mtb ride today. She managed a 12 mile yomp around on Woodbury common in Devon. She's only been riding for a month or so and we recently picked her up a modern Specialized, nothing too special but a huge improvement over the lump of...

    BEST WAY TO...

I'd certainly go for a chemical method for removing paint / crud, you might get away with blasting it but possibly end up pitting the surface and leaving more work as stated.

    Paypal eCheques

Yup they're a pain the proverbial, so my apologies to Scant who just got one from me. They happen where your account is funded from a Bank Account, if you fund from a credit card then I believe it retains the old instant(ish) transfer. I've not altered my PayPal account as I've no wish to...

Marzoke 1in ahead (long steerer!) forks

Already using a converter with a threadless stem on a 1" threaded steerer rigid fork at the moment so I'm covered there, just need to change the headset for a threadless 1" jobbie. If you've got a hanger to enable use of canti's them I'm definately in for 2nd dibs :) Cheers Paddy

Marzoke 1in ahead (long steerer!) forks

Couple of quick questions (he says having actually engaged his brain before posting this time)... :D Will these take cantilevers? What length travel are they? If the intended recipient bike currently has a 1" threaded headset them presumably it'll just be a case of changing to a threadless...
