Sorry to drag up an old thread, but I have just received two brand new in box HG92 chains with a load of parts I bought. On the box itself it says HG CHAIN, super narrow HG chain/9speed compatible. You say these are XT range? Wasn't sure if I should keep them or not.

I think you're right! Mine look like these, but have different stickers on the rim, possibly done by the previous owner. Thank you for the info, I think I'll hang onto them for a while, not sure what I'll use them on, but I hate to part with a wheelset.

So when I bought the bike, I was told it was a 1994 Bear Valley SE, turns out it is a 1996 according to the serial number? F46GAB166

Indeed looks like the Bear Valley SE frame I've got sitiing here. Similar rear derailleur cable stop, similar canti stop and lugs on seat stays, drop out looks very similar as well. I'm also going to guess Marin.

Can someone ID these wheels? I picked these up in a deal with a bunch of parts recently, and I can't find any info on them. Wheels are pretty wide, and have what looks and feels like plastic along the centre of the rim. Front hub is a Formula, with what looks like a 4 bolt disc mount, rear...

So, I have finally decided to start a build thread on the 1992 RM Hammer that I acquired back in the fall of 2011. I guess to start things off, I was surfing our local classifieds, which I guess I tend to do very, very often, and up popped this ad for a rocky mountain hammer, frame and forks...
