    Remember these? Shimano M100 shoes

I had 2 pairs of those original M100 shoes then when the 2nd pair died, I could find nothing in the (then) current range of Shimano shoes that didn't look utterly ridiculous on you when you were off the bike. Was a shame because I felt that their shoes fitted me really well. Finally Shimano...

Windcheetah Recumbant (Last one - Promise!)

Bought this one some time in the early 90s. Paid the deposit then had to wait 3 months for it to be built. Rode it for a year and ended up selling it as it wasn't particularly practical (though amazing on ice!) Really need a garage to store it in. Got more than I paid for it as the retail on...

Another old bike - Dyna-tech Lo Pro

Owned this for about a year after owning my Windcheetah. Very light for sure but didn't compete on it or anything. I just bought it because I liked the way it looked. Replaced the drop bars with some lo pro ones soon after the pic was taken which helped the riding position somewhat!

An old Marin I once had

 Was there an issue with these bikes then? Have to say that aesthetically, it was one of my all time favourite designs though never did get round to getting one mostly due to cost / weight.

I believe the fork on the front of the Merlin is based on the Vector fork used by Proflex only this one was made out of titanium of course.

An old Marin I once had

Frame was steel but nickel plated. In the end I felt it was too big for me so I sold / part exchanged it to buy the Torus frameset. Nice bike though. Whilst I was picking up the new frame though I did spot one of these... Full suspension Manitou. Still think it's a work of art 8)

Not particularly retro (but it's still A Bike)

It's a Trimnell fork - came with the Torus frame. Rex Trimnell designed it and Raleigh bought the rights to it. Incredibly lght yet still rigid. See my other post in readers bikes for more info.

Not particularly retro (but it's still A Bike)

It's a full size bike but with very small wheels. Folds down stupidly small but the down side to such small wheels is lack of stability. And yeah, my grass still needs cutting!

Not particularly retro (but it's still A Bike)

My latest toy. Can't say it' anywhere near as stiff as a normal bike but it does only weigh about 5kgs. Loads of fun plus it also fits in the boot of the Exige!
