RIP Pre-Trek Klein Sea & Sky...

I don't have anything against "modernizing" per se, but those wheels are a bit loud. I've seen lots of bikes like this in Asia. Groups of riders get together and do city rides and have these amazing USA-made bikes, generally Merlins and lots of other high-end frames that are just decked out in...

    Xizang Julie Furtado/David Baker replica

Wow, nice build. I just got one myself and am looking for inspiration to build it up. Yours is a 16", btw, measured c-c. Same as mine!

    my S-works and Klein Adroit

Sort of...starting in 1996 there were some Adroits that were basiclaly Attitude frames. The way to tell is the diameter of the downtube. "true" Adroits have 2" diameter downtubes, while the Attitude ones have 1-3/4" or so. That said, Adroit frames were still special in that they had Boron Carbon...

Which Octalink BB for Ritchey WCS crankset?

Unfortunately I can't find any information about these cranks. I believe they are early 2000-2004 perhaps, but I'm not even sure about that. For some reason my pic link isn't working right, but if you paste the link you can see what they look like. My current setup is using an outboard...

Which Octalink BB for Ritchey WCS crankset?

I found a couple nice Ritchey WCS compact cranksets to go with my P21 and NiTi. They take Octalink V2 bottom brackets, so I'm trying to figure out what spindle length I should be looking for. I'm leaning towards 68x113mm, but I'm wondering if anyone here is running these cranks on a Ritchey...

    Ritchey P-21

@magas, Yes you're right. It's a Judy SL threadless crown on top of SID lowers. I saw that "trick" over at VRC forums at mtbr.com and figured it is probably the only way i would ever be able to get SIDs in a 1" size since they didn't make them beyond '98? Alas, I'm actually considering...

    Ritchey P-21

Edit: Dangit. Posted in wrong forum! Can't move it to <1998! Oh well. // Here is my Ritchey P-21. 17" P-21. Serial is P 012. When I got it, the parts build suggested it was a 1995 or 1996, but I am not certain of the year based on the low serial number. Before: Obviously, I...

    Nice Controltech Seatpost 27.0

I found a super nice 27.0-mm post for my Ritchey. It's a Yeti ARC model. There were quite a few on ebay some months ago, but seem to have sold out from the seller I got mine from. Here's on from the UK: http://cgi.ebay.com/Yeti-ARC-XC-Seatpos ... tsupported Really nice post and superlight, too.

    Nuke Proof Frame

That frame has been in the US Ebay listings for a very long time, maybe at least a year or more. Too proprietary to be able to get it working IMO.

    Ritchey P-20 Project

it's baaaack... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... tsupported Relisted with BuyItNow of $499! If it was an 18", I'd pick it up myself. I'm surprised these Ritchey's don't go for a lot more. Granted I've only seen a few of them pop up on the 'bay in the past year or so, but they...

    Ritchey P-20 Project

I think it looks more like a 19 or 20". I am wondering about the year...the rear cable stop is positioned for v-brakes, so I'm thinking it could be 1996+. Odd, somewhat crappy parts, especially that crank! I could use that theadless Logic fork though...

Ritchey Crazy Pete in team colours!

Sold for $760 US. I'm really surprised it didn't go for much, much more especially in the condition it was in.

    Ritchey NiTi NOS

No it's your standard cro-mo tubing mixed with some extra alloys I believe. There's another one on eBay right now around $300 NOS. Just wondering how they measure up. They were among the last frames made by Ritchey. http://mombat.org/Ritchey_Specs.htm (last entry 1999)

    Ritchey NiTi NOS

How does the NiTi compare to the P-series frames? Heavier, lighter? Stiffer?
