Welding aluminium is not a solution, it is just delaying the final judgement... And it would ruin the beautiful finish of this frame.

Regarding the crack, unfortunately, after the only ride I made with the bike rebuilt, it has moved forward. So I can't see any future for it, except as a beautiful wall hanger... :roll:

Here is a quite clean fork that I collected from a friend. It is a 1998 SR Suntour Sierra Magic with 70mm travel (elastomers), weighing around 1,5kg. Head tube length 15cm, Ø 1'1/8 It is still working good! :D Anyone interested at 50€ ? :wink:

Got my answer... ... from SR suntour : "it is a SR Suntour Sierra Magic 9007M from 1998. It had 70mm of travel (with Elastomeres) and about 1550g. " 8)
