Nope steers okay it just has around 5mm movement when I rock the bike on the front brake. Cups are in the frame tight as well, no cracks in the steerer tube either. :roll: it's never easy!

ARRGGHHHHH! :oops: your right the rim is 1" what a tit. I picked up a set of M400 Mavic rims as I thought I would have to compromise to find something. Should have got the ruler out to double check. Any opinions on M400 rims?
