    It's a chrome crown that comes off. PC ers just needed to carry on as normal, bit of polish for the chrome and came out well. She's still for sale ;)

    1980 BSA 3 speed

    Looks to be a BSA Wayfarer exactly like my orange beast. http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=139562 I saw the frame after media blast and its solid as a rock, very good welds and built to last, i'd replace brake cables etc to be sure safe however a lovely bike.

    I think so too, been looking online at old BMX wheels and all sorts. Good knows how she'll look in the end, also different frame finishes, anodised steel might be a goer. Anyone know how to remove badges well, and put them back on again??? Not sure when i'm gonna start this project...one...
