    Miyata with holes in bb shell

    Thanks for the pics Elev12k. In my 20 years mtbiking, I have never seen such frames. I have been so sheltered... Seems like dirt, water, earthworms, shrews, beetles, etc. might find their way in to the bb bearings, threads, etc. Later Thunderchild

    Alien question

    Anyone know what year the one in the ebay auction below is? It has very different rear dropouts then my 1992 Alien. Mine is a square tubed all aluminum one, so similar in that regard. Mine also has a noodle rear brake guide around the seattube unlike this one...

    Name that tool

    Is it a chainring bolt spanner thingy? Would that tool be the same as the Shimano tool for tightening chainring bolts? How do you use it? Thunderchild PS do you use "thingy" across the water?

    A 91 Nishiki Ariel. Cracked at the wishbone seat stay. I did it in on the Porcupine Rim Trail in Moab. I ride that trail now and wonder how I ever did it without suspension. Proflex 983 swingarm. Cracked at the weld for the brake crossbar. Proflex 855 cracked on the main triangle...

    Who's riding tomorrow? Places and Pics :)

    I rode today, but only pictures in my head. Temps were in the low 30s F. Best way to start the new year. Snow and frozen mud. Great riding sections of the snow had melted and re-frozen so I was able to ride on top of a lot of it! Thunderchild.

    Are you kidding, Cool! I remember seeing the first Off Road Rear suspension in 88 or 89. Offroad became ProFlex. They were way ahead. I have owned five. If you haven't owned one, you be lacking in experience. The elastomers were limited, but were light and maintenance free. Then Manitous...
