I have a blue Nishiki Alien that is a 1992 model. The headbadge (sticker) is different from this one on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/Richard-Cunningham- ... 240%3A1318
Anyone know the year of the purple one on ebay?
Thanks

Thanks for the pics Elev12k. In my 20 years mtbiking, I have never seen such frames. I have been so sheltered... Seems like dirt, water, earthworms, shrews, beetles, etc. might find their way in to the bb bearings, threads, etc.

Anyone know what year the one in the ebay auction below is? It has very different rear dropouts then my 1992 Alien. Mine is a square tubed all aluminum one, so similar in that regard. Mine also has a noodle rear brake guide around the seattube unlike this one...
Is it a chainring bolt spanner thingy? Would that tool be the same as the Shimano tool for tightening chainring bolts? How do you use it?

NOt a bike but bike related. 1 American cent for a Bellwether hooded long sleeved jersey on ebay. Shipping was 4.50. Jersey has been great as my first layer for winter riding.

A 91 Nishiki Ariel. Cracked at the wishbone seat stay. I did it in on the Porcupine Rim Trail in Moab. I ride that trail now and wonder how I ever did it without suspension.
Proflex 983 swingarm. Cracked at the weld for the brake crossbar.
Proflex 855 cracked on the main triangle...
I rode today, but only pictures in my head. Temps were in the low 30s F. Best way to start the new year. Snow and frozen mud. Great riding sections of the snow had melted and re-frozen so I was able to ride on top of a lot of it!

Spoke with one of the company men. They offer a full life time warranty. Now I haven't read the fine print yet, but few companies offer that any more.

Are you kidding, Cool! I remember seeing the first Off Road Rear suspension in 88 or 89. Offroad became ProFlex. They were way ahead. I have owned five. If you haven't owned one, you be lacking in experience. The elastomers were limited, but were light and maintenance free. Then Manitous...
