Help wanted with spec and age

you can use a standard lever, and shimano/avid v-brake lever will be fine. The spacing on sram an d shimano cassettes is the same, so it does't matter what the cassette is, however the sram rear mech will only work with sram shifters.

Wanted: Retro Judys, Pace RC35/36s or Retro Marzocchis

hi cheers for the offers everyone, they are for an old lava dome, I have provisionally secured some RS Judy races from on here, but if they arrive and aren't the right thing (which is a possibility) I'll still be after some forks

Wanted: Retro Judys, Pace RC35/36s or Retro Marzocchis

I have £60 to spend and would ideally like some old rockshox judys or marzocchi z series forks. Would be quite happy with rockshox indys, and paces would be lovely but i reckon they are largely out of my price range. let me know what you've got...

    1999 Giant ATX880

I used a standard cane creek c2 headset (1 1/8). The frame already had spacers that were made from metal that brought the head tube down to size. I can get the dimensions of these if its helpful?

    1996 Kona Hot

I do keep things well serviced, so i'm sure the forks will be fine for a good while yet, having paid £80 for them I'm quite pleased. While I understand the lure of fitting forks that suit the age of the bike, given that I currently ride it as my only mountain bike (the 24seven isn't quite...

    1996 Kona Hot

Ah ha! thats the real question isn't it. I haven't been able to ride it still! Its not been a good week for time. But it's OK, I am going to the Isle of Wight for 2 weeks tommorow and taking it with me! Should be awesome. Do people think that an 80mm fork is really too long for it? it doesn't...

    1996 Kona Hot

so i guess its reasonably safe to say the 97' one did too, and my frame does not have them, so i guess it is a hot... either '96 or '97?

    1996 Kona Hot

if you look very carefully at the explosif's seat stays i think you can see rack mounts. at least for 1996. So, does anyone know a definitive way to check? will the serial number give it away?
