Hydraulic drop bar brake lever options

I don’t have any drop bar levers In stock so I’d have to buy some of those too, but I could then run the alfine8 drop bar shifter which might be quite nice…. Hmmm

Hydraulic drop bar brake lever options

A cable operated master cylinder. That’s a novel approach…. Are they any good?

Hydraulic drop bar brake lever options

Having completed the muddy fox rock'n roll project, I'm turning my attention to converting my Genesis iO-iD into a drop bar commuter. It's basically stock with the standard shimano hydraulic discs. What are my options for hydraulic drop bar levers that will work with the existing calipers? I...

This fits and rides so nicely, I'm thinking that I probably won't love my hardtail anymore  Already looking for another similar style of frame to swap the bits over from the hardtail onto.

Woohoo, quick blast down the lane, it fits, it rides nicely. Well chuffed with this. Will put up some proper photos when the pivot bolts show up and it’s all buttoned up and looking tidy.

Seatpost delivered, that’s the last thing required (aside from some shock pivots that are currently made from m8 bolts)….. might be able to take this for a spin later

Ended up needing a 140mm rear disc to clear the nds chainstay. Chinese brakes, good… Chinese groupset, moderate to poor 😂 Just waiting on a seatpost which should be here today. I took it for a spin up the drive without a saddle last night 😳

Just sat on it for the first time and it looks like it will actually fit. I’m only 5’9 or so, and this was apparently a large. I was concerned it would have too much reach but a modern fork/stem/bar setup has kind of reduced that.

Should be finished this week, just waiting on parts from Amazon (the LBS didn’t have any 140mm rotors)

    Muddy Fox Rock'n'roll pro project

Ordered the wrong sized headset, and the wrong size rear rotor (hope a 140 will clear the chainstay)…. Small shopping list for the lbs tomorrow morning. Need some grips, some tyre sealant and some chainring fasteners too. Might get it rolling this weekend if I bodge some m8 bolts into the pivot...

Update: Frame back from the paint shop, started assembling it all - now waiting for parts (shock pivot bolts) to come from AliExpress.... So close, yet, so far...

The frame has been at the paint shop for so long, I forgot what it looked like so thought I’d pop back here to remind myself 😂

    Muddy Fox Rock'n'roll pro project

A slight hiatus away from the workshop, putting the roof back on my wife’s house (after the storm) … but we should be in a position to get this painted next week. I’ve got a pair of 26” disc wheels off Facebook, so that completes the parts haul. Just need a seat post and some grips, oh and...

There is a pivot near the bottom bracket, yes. On similar designs like the swarf 155 there is about 6mm of vertical deflection on the seatstays. I’m not sure how much deflection is in the project 12 vertigo, a similar design of frame.

It certainly looks very similar, except the bianchi appears to be aluminium with a steel rear triangle. Apart from the welds being a bit under filled, it’s not a bad frame. Looking forward to getting it finished. I’m away from my workshop this week unfortunately, but I’ve got some paint stripper...

That’s the one, yep. It has the flex-stay design without any pivots at the dropouts. Thanks very much for the information, I appreciate it.
