Yep, it's a fillet brazed roll ahead. :) To be honest, i did know who had this fork before i bought the Thunderbolt. ;) The fork (#53xx) is younger than the frame (#41xx) and quite light with just 790g (140mm steerer tube and 405mm fork length). @all Does somebody know if every item (frame...

I'm quite sure, that the frame is at least 2 years older than the age of it's components. Bitd it was usual in german bike shops that high priced imported frames needed some months or even years to be sold. After talking to different people who own a lot of custom Rocky Mountains the serial #...

@Blizz The Magura rear brake setup is the u-brake version. There is noting changed or bent on the u-brake-mounts, they need to look that way. I will replace the Magura with an u-brake next year. ;) I think the thread needs more pictures. :)

In a first step i want to use a Serotta fillet brazed fork. The search for the original stem and fork will be difficult, but i'll try my best! ;)

As a teenager in the 90s i rode a 1993 Rocky Mountain Blizzard. I don't have a lot of pictures from that one, so all i can show is this one. I have always lusted for a Thunderbolt or a Wedge and some weeks ago i was lucky enough to get one. I will take my time with the rebuild of this one...

    Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt on Ebay.de

Still waiting for a dry weekend to start taking pictures for the restoration thread. Call me overcautious, but the bike won't leave his "warm bed" as long as it's wet outside. ;)
