No worries, I'll be riding over and if I want to ever arrive I'll need to ride the slicks and swap when I get there. Thanks for the offer though, Matt

Yeah, tad optimistic on my part. Cool, you'll recognise me when you arrive, I'll be the bloke frantically swapping tyres in the car park...

Don't supposed anyone knows what tyres would be best at the moment, I'm guessing I won't get away with some semi-slicks....

    Ridiculously Priced Bikes

I have to agree, there are not real viable alternatives to car driving. It's so frustrating; I work, to a certain extent, in the rail industry and it's rotten and wouldn't take much to adapt it so we could have a truly integrated transport system. Having said that my 1963 Moulton is still...

    another stolen bike................(now found)

Glad you found it dude! Only heard of one bike being nicked and it was replaced. Sorry you had to buy it though, what a nightmare

    Ridiculously Priced Bikes

Don't knock 'em until you've tried them! Ok, a double pylon is silly money but a TSR 9 is 1200 quid and a lot of people reckon it rides better. Seriously, if you get a chance have a go, they're dead quick and really comfy!

TA 60t chainring, Milremo cranks, Cyclo P2 mech

Renovating a Moulton Speedsix and looking for some missing parts. TA chainring of around 60t, a few teeth either way should be fine. Milremo 5 pin cranks preferably the 555 model (steel fluted arms) and possibly a Cyclo P2 rear mech. Good prices paid as I'm looking for these items in a hurry...

Any recommendations for Powder coaters - Leics, Nott, Derby?

Not that I'm aware of, the surface tension would probably be too high and stop the clear getting a good key. You could probably powder clear over powder but the decals might shrink and the coating would be millimetres rather than microns thick. Could be wrong though, my field is wet paint so...

There's some good trails near Martinshaw Wood that go all the way to Bradgate Park, a good 20 odd miles or possibly more. Have to work late tonight now but will keep an eye on the thread and definitely meet up some time soon. Looking forward to it, Matt

Any recommendations for Powder coaters - Leics, Nott, Derby?

Dunno if this will be of interest but I work for a paint company in Leicester so I can get a stripped frame sprayed for 50 quid. It'll be a higher quality finish than powder and decals can go under clearcoat although it won't be as robust. Matt

    another stolen bike................(now found)

If you venture in to Leicester again you could use the Bike Park, 50p for an hour or a quid for all day. Amazing idea, no idea why no other town has them. I'll keep an eye our for your GT dude, should be easy to spot! Matt

Just wondering where you meet in Ticknall, I guess it's by the green and blue splodges off Main Street on Google Maps? I'm in Leicester and don't have a car but I quite fancy a trip out to see what the ride over is like with a view to riding on a Tuesday in the near future. Is there a regular...

    stolen konahei hei - leicester

I'll ask around, one of my mates has tracked down a few stolen bikes in Leicester before and returned them to their rightful owner I hasten to add. It's in my size too, I think I'll have to have a quick ride if I manage to recover it.
