If we all liked the exact same bikes and used (or didn’t) them in the exact same way, things would be pretty boring --- and even more expensive. For me, the Repack-type bikes are interesting and important --- but ultimately wall-hangers because they aren’t something that I WANT to ride...

I visited Steve Potts' workshop today to have him check over the frame and fork for alignment and any other concerns prior to beginning the rebuild. For the frame, Steve uses a series of fixtures on a flat table. The BB shell is clamped down, and then he sequentially checks the seat tube...
