Update on progress from me - I found a set of Kronos springs on eBay. Green ones (not sure what firmness they are but they are definitely not firm) Dropped them in and happy days. Better still JE James took the other springs back so props to them

Thanks for that ....I did wonder about that but assumed you loaded from the top down I do have the smaller springs that fit to the top cap, that came as standard and the springs I bought do have plastic spacers that came with them My concern (until I try) is will it all go in - lol Thanks for...

I've just bought a set of x firm for Judy xc's ..but they may be too firm..started another topic on it. I am also talking to a mate about creating my own elastomers, so I don't have to shell out £80 for some PU rod with a hole through it If you get a link to some more spares I would be interested

also the cost .. £20 vs £80-90 If this doesn't work, I am going down the PU rod route with holes drilled through the centre

I looked around ... I am ok with extra firm at this stage... I found other spring kits online that I think 'think being the word here' will do the job but wasn't 100% sure Go the JE James site and copy and paste the description of the springs into your browser... you should get other options...

Was pointed in the direction of these replacement springs by someone on one of the retro fb pages I bought them from JE James Rockshox Spring/Spacer Kit Judy 04-06 XFIRM x1 They should arrive tomorrow

Springs seem a bit elusive but ......speaking to my mate, who works for an engineering company he thinks that new elastomers should be pretty simple to make I don't have any at all but I think they are 6" long and 17mm wide - is this correct? Not sure how big the hole is tho - but should be...

Please keep me in the loop Somehow, rockshox past me by back in the nineties so this is all new to me Basically I've dropped a bollock and bought some judy xc's that were missing the elastomers... the forks themselves are in lovely shape so it will be worth it in the end but I just assumed it...
