re: the sids I've ridden except the new ones seem more like race forks, a lot of people I know just repainted their judy sl's to look like sids cause they didn't like the perfomance of the sid. or nonperformance. I'm going to get one for my vintage ride however they are stunnin to look at!

re: fork problem is easy solved just get a cheap carbon fiber unit, they do look good on old GT's, just look on the xizang posted. Mine will be posted soon to but the maguras is probarly the best solution, get them they rock! the newer ones look pretty nice to... and they doesn't cost that...

what u could do is to get some maguras in the back, and a magura disc upfront so that the levers look about the same. thinking of the same thing but don't want to ruin my gt with a lot of straps to keep the housin in place. have the a2dz adapter lying around but not sure. probarly won't do...

re: what year is fork? was thinking of thomson stem on mine, but see now that it looks a bit chubby. frame looks great is it a 16" ?

re: not sure, get some crossmax for this one,and xtr 950 and ti stem and a seatpost and a roox ti bar. will look prestine. no silver.

re: been offered one for around 50, but it's also an 18" they are seriously the biggest 18" around. My gt is a 16" and would love to find an 16" bravado or tequesta sometime...
