1999 in Team Colour. The 98 GT race team Zaskars/Xizangs were that colour but for some reason the 99 'Team' models of those were just plain white. The Tempest and Outpost Trail both came in this colour in 99 (I have both !).
From the decals it looks like a 1994 in Pearl Teal but that's a solid colour while this looks like a slight pattern. Maybe just the paint deteriorating over time. It has a Groovetube and mostly Altus components.
Of the pix above the blue with white specs & Talera on the downtube is a 91 in Blue...
98 Backwoods was definitely 7005. The Avalanche and Terramoto/Pantera were 6061 that year and the only 6061 triple-triangle frames with curved endcaps that year. There is a vague possibility it's one of those that was somehow decalled as a Backwoods but I'd think that unlikely as there would be...
NOPE note ever mastered it after over 40 years of trying on choppers, grifters, folding shoppers, bmx, racers, mountain bikes.... Just ain't got the balance :-(
I thought it was a nice runaround, load of XT on it. Very nice.
If I was a bit more 'whoo, a bit whee, a GEEZER' I'd be thinking 'I can get round that lock and
have that lot on my Zaskar in no time' :-)
Re:
A S**T lock !!
Spotted this recently... lovely Klein which won't remain their pride & joy much longer with that lock.
I had one of these Tescos £4 D-locks. Someone glued it (with a view to nicking later). I got it apart with a £3 B&Q crowbar and one hit
Re:
Some people just take the p***.
£40 is way too cheap for the Zaskar, worth £100+ all day long (particularly an early one with integral mech hanger).
