    Raleigh Ti(s)*ALL SOLD*

Rex Trimnell was the founder and owner of X-lite. He designed the forks and did the first version. Raleigh then did a lot of development work and made a lot of changes before fitting them to the Torus etc... I'm certain as well that the x-lite frame was made by the same people who made the...

    Ibbz feedback

Re: I bought the Raleigh Decade from Ibbs. Absolutely superb to deal with. After the tier changes I requested posting rather than me picking up. He packed it up brilliantly and it arrived quickly. And everything as he had said. Would highly recommend buying from him. Cheers Ed

Can anyone help identify this bike

I'm sure I've seen british ones with brazed seat stays. Although we've got 5 and all of them are bolted. The frame looks like a Raleigh with the second horizontal top tube. Age is difficult as they stayed pretty much the same from the 1910's until the 1960's. From my limited knowledge - very...

Introducing Vera, a 1985 Land Rover 110 County

Re: Superb choice. Funnily enough my girlfriend's Landrover 110 is also 1985 and called Vera! Although it is an ex-military one rather than a county. We do also have a 1983 110 County called Francesca. Plus a couple of series Landrovers. Putting my pedant hat on (common for Landrover...

    NOS OUTLAND VPP3

Re: Wow! That is a superb find and a real piece of history. One of the very few bikes on my want list. As they are so hard to find I'd quite happily settle for a used VPP3 or 5 let alone finding a NOS one. Looking forward to seeing you build this up. Ed

Canti and v levers an old chestnut on cable pull help!

Re: V brake levers pull more cable and won't work with cantilevers. You can run cantilever brake levers with V brakes. But you end up having to run the brake pads very close to the rim and the brakes do not feel as firm. A lot of lever travel needed to get them to contact. Personally I run...

Help - Curved seat stays or damage?

Re: It would be worth looking at where the seat stays meet the top lug. If they were bent after it was build then the brazing should be damaged where the stays have moved. The tube ends are in line with the seat stays initial direction so it would have to have twisted/broken the brazing...

FINISHED! Another Pace RC200 Rescue Thread

Re: Acorn plating used to have lots of links to mountain biking. One of the sons of the original owner used to do a lot of trials riding and then downhill mountain biking. Had a Coella that used to change colour on a regular basis! They used to do anodising for a lot of the mountain bike...

XTR Wheel, Gripshift, XT, LX, Bar ends, etc... More bits

The gripshift is 3 x 8. I've just had a good look at them and there is a crack in the plastic by one of the mounting bolts. But it is all together in one piece.

Tool Boxes Cabinets Storage etc - Advice please & Show Yours

Re: I've got a set of Halfords Industrial tool chests. They are very good and on par with Snap on etc... Very different to their professional ones. They have ball bearing slides and each drawer uses the handle to unlock. They are normally £800 for all three but I got mine in one of their...

Klein Adroit Facebook Marketplace Potential Bargain?

Re: On closer look there is a slight ding on the side. Hasn't cracked the paint. No ding where the paint damage is. I think still a good deal. There is a bit of a mix of parts - XT, XTR, no name on the hubs, Judy SL's etc... It rides nicely but needs a very good service! Will post up...

Klein Adroit Facebook Marketplace Potential Bargain?

Re: Hi guys, Thanks for the heads up, just been over to pick it up. :) It looks to be a 97 but I'm not a Klein expert. It has a standard bottom bracket and no bulges around the water bottle bolts. The top tube has paint chips but no ding which is good. It needs a strip down and clean...
