still no word from Pete. A few people have already contacted me to let me know they’re in a similar boat with Pete owing them parts they have paid for. If there’s anyone else please let me know, either on this thread or a DM. It may help piece together what’s going on.

I’m posting this reluctantly as I appreciate he has been unwell in the past and that may be the case again now. If anyone has made contact with him in the past 3 weeks though, I’d really appreciate any information you’re able to share as I’m becoming quite concerned I may be left empty handed...

Thanks Bolt, that’s a nice bike! I think I’ve worked out that yours is a ‘94 and as you say came with rigid forks. The ‘super’ edition which I have (written on the top tube in front of the seat tube) came out in ‘95 as a frameset with FSX forks

Thanks joglo, you’re not missing the point, I just hadn’t seen many in the colour and wanted to know the year and if it came as a built bike (and if so what build) or frameset. Like you I can’t find a 1994 s-works catalog. I agree 94 seems likely, but why the 95 stamp on the frame?

I’ve bought some Judy FSX forks with threadless steerer to replace this threaded Judy xc. So now I need to replace the XTR headset with a 1 1/8 Aheadset. What would others use? Anyone selling something suitable?

Damnit I think you’re right. Tubes are too thin in the XT build kit pics for M2. Back to the drawing board
