27.2mm is correct, according to the Merlin'93 catalogue and I can also confirm it as I have a Merlin frame from 1993.

Apart from the geometry issue, the Z1 is comparable heavy. I had exactly this orange Z1 model as a temporary solution in my 96' Litespeed Ocoee frame. The Ti frame is quite lightweight (similar to yours) and the heavy fork makes the bike unbalanced and top-heavy. I can't recommend this. I'm not...

Nice hubs! For how many spokes are the hubs designed? I have seen this hubs with 24h / 28h, but these rims are really rare. Do you have an idea on which rims you want to mount them?
