    Old Peugeots

Re: These two site are the go-to sites for old Peugeot catalogues: http://www.bikeboompeugeot.com/Brochure ... France.htm http://www.peugeotshow.com/ The second bike looks like an early 80s version of what Peugeot used to call a UE8. I had a mid-70’s one for a while. It’s very much a bottom...

    80's TT bike tubing options?

Re: If you're lucky the type of tubing might be fainting stamped somewhere on the frame - If you're really lucky it might be on the steerer tube. I have a mystery French frame that I looked over very closely using a torch and was able to see VITUS 172 stamped very lightly near the lugs on the...

52cm "Dave Rayner" full 531. Huddersfield

Tidy little bike with a £75 start price. It has a 531 Renovated decal so probably re-sprayed by Dave Rayner Cycles rather than built by them? Pick up from Huddersfield. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dave-Rayner-5 ... SwRMRYTa7i

    Mid (?) 1950's 23" Armstrong Sovereign. Coventry

531 plain gauge tubing, lots of original parts - GB brakes (with half-hoods) and stem, wrights saddle... Paint work looks like it might need a re-fresh. £50 start and the seller (not me) has put their phone number in the ad which would suggest they are willing to sell outside ebay for the right...

    Interesting looking 1930-50 road bike

Re: No longer listed - Someone must have made a sneaky outside offer. Looking at some of the bike on classic lightweights today i thought it looked quite similar to a 1937 F.W. Evans. But that might have been wishful thinking as the ebay pictures weren't very clear.

intriguing 'Raleigh' in classic TI team colours

I thought it might be a re-sprayed early Raleigh Competition 12 or even a 3 tubes 531 model but that SBDU number makes it slightly more intriguing! Late '77 according to this: https://raleigh-sb4059.com/2016/07/18/c ... roduction/ It obviously had it's ups and downs since '77 going by the lost...

    S. ROLAND - JONES CYCLES of ACTON

Hi Shaun I'm sure someone can shed some light on your fine frame so I was wondering if it might be worth changing the subject to title unknown 50's lightweight or something similar to widen out the interest? As there seems to be no information online for S. Roland-Jones so it might have been a...

Re: Hi Is it the one that was on eBay? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302116117089 If so it looks like an interesting machine and definitely more 50s than 80s. Hope you dont mind me posting the ebay link - I'm sure someone else more knowledgeable will be along to help shortly.

    cheap quill pedals

Re: Hi Thanks very much for digging them out. Nice looking pedals but i think they maybe a bit too special. I'm after something more ordinary and more importantly in the 10-15 quid range as I'm trying to keep a tight grip on the budget. Cheers Nonowt
