    90s close/mudguard clearance frame Q

I'm cobbling a bike together around a frame that short drop brakes work on. But it does have mudguard eyes as well. I seem to remember back in the 90's space wasn't a problem. It's not the end of the world, I'll get around it. Just trying to work out if I'll need deep drop set on their minimum?

    Middle ring Q

Cheers, I hoped it might. I suppose once upon a time no rings were ramped and pinned.

    Middle ring Q

I've got an unused 130bcd 42t that was for a Shimano double chainset. I'm in the process of making up a triple with a Shimano 130bcd/74bcd Triple crank. I need to buy an outer and inner, just wondered if my unramped 42t would work as a middle?

    Middle ring Q

Is the inner ring on a double chainset the same as a middle one on a triple chainset?

    Could it be a condor?

Condor are saying I'm on safe ground with it being a 1990 Condor. Just sent images to see if they can pin it down. Though I've seen three or four identical GS Racings. Next question, if it is confirmed is what transfer was used in 1990?

    Benelux Cyclo question.

Done. Literally minutes of filing and in it popped. Just a little re spacing of the freewheel and she'll be working a treat. Next on the list is metal reducer ferrules, as you can see modern ones don't seat against the old style guides.

    Benelux Cyclo question.

For the money I'll try a few options. I got the four speed fitted. It was a total Krypton factor moment, until I realized that my mech had been rebuilt arse about face. So just the cable to fit now, so thanks for your help.

    Benelux Cyclo question.

Any idea what cable I can use in a Benelux shifter? I looks like a miniature version of a MTB brake cable nipple. Thanks

    Could it be a condor?

Not sure if to take this frame on or not, it's exactly what I'm after in my size, but I can't identify it and that'll bug me. It's a 4 digit serial number 9030. I know Condor are usually the other way around, but not always. It has Allez drop outs. Which were pretty unique to Holdsworth. But...

Dawes bikes, two come at once

I was scouring the locals for a bike to do up for riding about town, and a lovely if tatty 1956 Dawes Emblem came up for £60 in great original condition. Then I got a call saying there was a 1975 Dawes Galaxy going for £50, so I grabbed that. The Emblem needs paint and a replacement Benelux...

    Bill Hannington Lightweight

I have a Hannington, got it ten years ago and just about to send it off for painting. Any way mine had that E.W.H transfer on the seat tube, there was never a downtube transfer and it has a riveted headbadge. It's circa 1982, nutted calipers, 531 Professional not DB, Suntour ends. shot in stays...
