Today's Ride

Took off early this morning to cram in a ride before Easter eating and drinking kicked in. Both sons are home and were snoring in their pits as I left. Cool morning but bright and clear -- very nice to be out on the dirt.

Spent some time mooching around some overgrown trails outside town, got a bit lost, and had to hurry home to help feed the masses. Sons still snoring in their pits -- their capacity for immobility never fails to impress me.

16 miles 1,181 feet of elevation 9.2 mph avg. Lot of carrying the bike through stingers and brambles on trails long given up on !
Look's like there heading for the tip,but not worth saving.

Love the Maverick, great to see that gen still on the road and being enjoyed.

Brisk 15-20mph SSE breeze. Mixture of very low dank grey cloud, with breaks of high white cloud and a glimpse of sky and sunshine. Mild'ish 8 degrees.

After some heavy and persistant rain over the past 3 days, this mornings break meant a 20 mile scoot around the block. Last weeks dry trials are a thing of the past, so back on Simone which is no bad thing at all. Reynolds really nailled it with 853 didn't they.

I was wondering why so many cars were heading to Sennen then I remembered it's park run 😆

The weather is unpredictable at the moment and the forecast changes by the day...thankfully it is changing from rainy to sunny (result!!) I have some time off and some family stuff to attend to, but am determined to fit in some rides too.!

Familiar location, but unusual to find fresh venison on the single track!!
