Thanks. I haven’t forgotten about the lovely gold mudguards either, I need to dig out another pair to use the stays from. For once, I actually know where they are
Mudguards now fitted, no rubbing either. Two of the rear stays were only just long enough to do the job. There wasn't enough excess for the end caps on those sadly. I’m quite pleased with this one though.
I’ve found the pedals and they are on No clips yet, that will be another couple of hours of searching the garage for the Sakae clips buried somewhere. I did find some Alfredo Binda straps whilst looking for the pedals, they have been left out so my old man brain can find them again when needed.
I was going to take my Cadex out tomorrow but now the RRA is ready I think I’ll take the old girl out. I’m meeting my sister who will be riding her 1982 Holdsworth Lady Mistral, quite a nice pairing I reckon.
Nothing special but they fit well and take decent pressure. Most parts are well used but cleaned up nicely, The freewheel and chain are very low milage, the cables were new old stock, other parts original or spec from the 80’s.

Got about 30 miles in today. It was tough going, very windy and not ideal for the first ride in 3 months. Met up with my sister who done most of the miles with me. We made a pit stop at Stratford on the way to mums.
Oh, by the way, those brake blocks are awful. I will be ordering some new ones before the next ride. The pedals need some fresh grease, they are a little squeaky. All I did was wipe them over. I had to raise the bars by about half an inch, it was much more comfortable after that. Everything else held up well for a first ride.
