It should help with ability to drop from big ring to middle... the slipping could still be down to wear etc. if its still slipping get the chain rings sorted, mixing worn with new will prematurely age the new bits... also what condition are the jockey wheels in on the rear mech?

To me... please others chime in if I'm wrong, the front mech looks like its sat about 5-7mm too high on the seat tube, which might be causing the issue being experienced?

After trying to use BITD these shifters finally persuaded me to move to Shimano... They were awful.... yes jumping gears... at the worst times.. l would pick any other Suntour shifter over them...
