This will be a slow burn but figured I’d throw up a forum post in hopes of it motivating me to get my ass in gear over the winter.
This bike popped up on marketplace in BC and was priced pretty darn low, making it look a little suspect to some. Which given that there’s some shifty people about...
Thanks Phil!!
It was a pretty fun summer ripping around Vancouver's favourite local spots. Managed to snag a super clean set of TimBuk IIs that are waiting at my address in Washington, pretty stoked to get them on and maybe tweak a couple of little things over the fall.
That's a good call. I forgot about this one. Funny, I had photos of this bike in my "inspiration" folder too while I was working on 279. There were very few ICR top tube examples that I could find and this one was by far my fav.
Top tube placement gets my vote 😎
I can't quite recall but some I've seen might have the TT Brodie decal placement near the seat tube, similar to the Romax decal placements? If so, that might be where i’d try them out.
Snagged these absolute time capsule ‘86 Rockhoppers, 26x26 and a carbon-copy 24x24. Couldn't say no to such a decked out pair of bikes. Pristine Deerhead throughout with stickers still covering the derailleurs, Saturae Z28s and Specialized hubs with 167.5mm Flags to match their 175mm counterparts
Pump peg/U-Brake? Love this Sovereign! Cool that you’ve got it. I believe that I also owned this at one point. Pretty sure this is 2181. For what it's worth, I think the paint could be original? I bought it from its second owner and can't quite recall but don't think it had decals when I got it...
