Ok so do you guys reckon the colour is the original, it looks like a mettalic rose silver

Ok so were saying its an 88 Pine Mountain, with Team Marin decals. So would this of been done at the factory or dealer? Also where would the frame been made? Taiwan? If restoring, would you restore as is, or back to Pine Mountain? Dont know a lot about early Marins.

I recently picked up this early Team Marin, I have never seen one in this colour or with lugged frame? Can anyone enlighten me? I believe it could be a 1987/88?? I dont believe the LX rear mech is right, it should XT/DX. It also has a Specialized Chainring fitted, and black Panaracer tyres but...

Had my eye on this also, went cheap if I recall? I however couldnt justify another Kona so soon after the last one! It turned out very well 👌

I actually collected the bike from New Milton, not too far from Bournemouth Chris the previous owner lived local to that bike shop. The almost 6 hr trip last Monday, on my day off, was well worth, brang mum along, had a little stop in Bournemouth, the weather was amazing!

Blimey, I dont think ive seen another one in the flesh since 1994!! At the time, the other bike I did contemplate was a Marin Bear Valley, but looked so mich like many other bikes at the time, it was the slopimg top tube and p2 forks that swung it for me. 😉

Yes but the explosif came as standard in black, so when the sales guy told.me that all Konas had the option to have it in black, I originally chose it, however when he mentioned the extra wait,my inpatient 16 year old self.just couldn't wait any longer, just took it in purple. 😁
