bit of a spit shine, ditch the cheap components (what is it with folders and cheap components?) and they'll be lovely to roll around on. the bigger wheels will be much easier too.

I'd have thought they would be very difficult to grip tight enough to do that. in wire you usually put a bend in one end to provide leverage, in smithing you hammer a flat in and use a massive looking tong to do the same.

I've seen twisted spokes in low riders, guess it's for the gits and shiggles in this case.
it's a square with a little divot for the clip. I can send you a file to print if you measure across the mount for me, from memory they were around the 20mm mark.
blast from the past. was at uni when they moved to under the arches. spent way to long in both the former shop and the new one. Large percentage of my student loan went to them for various things.
