Pace RC200 Gravel / Adventure Conversion.. A little Help Here?

Top of tread to bottom of seatstay yoke is 10mm, edge of tread to inside of seatstays is 13mm... NDS clearance is 14mm, DS is 10mm... There's about 7mm clearance to the anti-chainsuck plate but you could always file a bit off!

Pace RC200 Gravel / Adventure Conversion.. A little Help Here?

I recently built some DT R500's for a 700c gravel bike and out of curiosity I've just fitted one to my F5 to see how much clearance it had... That's with a Pirelli Cinturato M 700x40mm and there's still enough room for mudguards. That frame is a 16.5 inch so it would probably look a bit...

Odd boat/tech pictures- what you got?

The 'two skinny donuts' antenna on the Elettra looks like a direction finding antenna so it's possibly the control dial for that? (looks like it's divided up into 360 degrees)

Pre 1997 date, how did that come about

It was @Enid_Puceflange's Super V that was the catalyst for the '97 cut off date. There was no 'Pre 98' category when he posted it but because it was full sus with discs and dual crown forks people spat their tea out and choked on their hob nobs. It turned into a 12 page thread about what...

    Hope Ti-Glide Question

On early versions the drive side end cap has a small grub screw which tightens on to the axle. On later versions the drive side end cap has an o-ring inside which sits in a groove on the axle. Use plenty of grease on it as if it dries out it becomes quite hard to get the end cap off.

    which cannondale is this

Carbon Jekyll maybe? Shock is mounted inside the downtube and the chain looks like it's running over an idler.

Is anyone else as sad as me?

Point Reyes lighthouse is the Antonio Bay lighthouse in 'The Fog'. Doesn't look quite so spooky on Google maps... :)

    Tootyred's Feedback

Just bought the shiniest M730 rear mech I've ever seen from Tootyred. Good comms, excellent price, another happy buyer. Cheers! ND

    Mystery and Unidentified Parts

Yeah, generally just on the front axle. They're to stop the front wheel falling out if the quick release or wheel nuts aren't tight enough.

    Mystery and Unidentified Parts

They look like they might be the safety washers for the front axle.

What Retrobike "feature" do you avoid when looking for bikes?

Bikes dragged out of a damp shed and described as 'genuine barn find'. "Oh really? Under a dust sheet next to the '54 D-Type was it?" Pull the other one. As for features, any frame with an unfeasibly high top tube. I know early MTBs had a lot of 'road bike DNA' but that's no excuse to make a...

    ‘95 Pace RC200 F5 ‘Mystery Machine’

I think the dropout may have been made by Hope which is why the anodising is a different shade. I've got one knocking around in the spares box from when I ran Hope C2s on my F5. It takes the No.1 caliper (err, I think!). It's whichever caliper has the mounting hole to the right of the piston...
