    Raleigh Record Ace

Great job there. Putting on the guards certainly makes it look complete and better imo.

For Sale For Sale: 1987 Raleigh Royal 531st 60cm frame + fork

I have a RR 1986 (I think) model. Out of interest, did you run a cartridge BB or a cups and axle traditional BB? I tried to put a cartridge BB in mine, but the rivet inside the bb shell for the cable guide was protruding a mm or so. I couldn't be bothered to remove guide and rivet and stuck with...

Chapman Cycles. Age old craft in Modern times. Master

Ah yes, a master craftsman indeed. I have been following him on Instagram since last year. He has produced some of the finest detailed frames I have seen in a longtime. Checkout the videos, you will not be disappointed.

my new project - 1988 Raleigh Quadra

If using Autosol, don't rub it on the logos, otherwise it will take them off. Put a bit of tape on the logos to protect just in case you accidentally get it on them. I know this from past experience.

    1993 Brodie Catalyst

I would be careful using wd40 for the long term. It tends to breakdown any grease so your bearings will eventually run dry. I had this happen to me with a cotterless bb and it caused pitting on the cup and axle. I used wd40 inside the tubes to keep out damp, but it eventually ran down to the bb...

    Worst Bike I Ever Had

About 7 years ago I bought my 9yo daughter a Schwinn branded BMX off the net. On paper it had a good spec and looked really decent. When I built it, the V brakes were awful and were stiff to operate. It wasn't light for an alloy frame and components were average at best. It did look nice and...

Withdrawn Crown Race Setting Tool 1" & 1 1/8" New and Unused.

Nicely made and heavy weighted tool. The drifts are alloy mix to protect the crown race. Does 1" and 1 1/8". Pipe is steel. I bought this recently to do a 1" crown race as the old plastic pipe method didn't work with a very tight crown. This is UNUSED! Reason is I have not got around to using...

    2009 GT Aggressor 3 refresh

Got a BMX stem but would need some 22.2 bars to fit with it. Would need to put back on the longer 120mm forks though. I think drops and a gravel conversion will need to be tried first though.

    2009 GT Aggressor 3 refresh

Yeah when I can get around to digging out the bars, stem, mech brakes, gears, shifters... Did do a quick mock up a couple of months ago, but might go with a road 70mm stem instead of the higher swan neck stem and 110mm pictured which I tried out. Here are mock up pics before decals.

    2009 GT Aggressor 3 refresh

Thanks HH97 and liking your rig too. Proportionally, it looks spot on. You're right, as I have to say this one has turned out to be fun to ride and more so than I thought. I have a GT Talera 4130 steel from 1998 which also gives a nice ride. I think GT build frames that ride very well generally...

    2009 GT Aggressor 3 refresh

Latest pictures are of the bike with a 80mm rockshox dart, and a newer (no springs) saddle. This is my first full alloy frame (6061 triple butted). I'm really surprised by the comfortable ride especially at the rear, may be helped by the fat tyre, as I had always thought alloy frames were too...
