Some race bikes are worth a lot but it's almost impossible to really value them.
Bikes that belonged to top riders, that have won World Cups or World Championships or bikes that are famous and desirable prototypes have some value. (Btw that UCI rule applies only to road bikes, not MTB's)

I bought that bike many years ago and it is on display at the MTB Hall of Fame. I don't know why this keeps getting posted, it was already X times on eBay etc.
Try at least to sell a bike that isn't as rare and famous..
