    1988 Rocky Mountain Avalanche

Keep your eyes peeled for a road bike spaced hub (i.e., 130 mm) as that is what came OEM on the 88 Avalanche - Shimano 105's. I run a mountain bike hub on mine, but I have to pry the stays apart a little bit to get the wheel into the dropouts. Happy trails!

    21.1mm threaded U-Brake Forks ?

1989 Rocky Mountain Blizzards had U-brakes front and back. To my mind, a U-brake on the front is an invitation to going over the handlebar. :)

    198? Rocky Mountain Avalanche

This may be an 88, but it is painted in poorly matched 89 colours. http://cgi.ebay.de/Rocky-Mountain-Avala ... 286.c0.m14

Which Flat Pedal for the older bike?

I've never been able to get used to SPuDs myself. Sakae Low Fats and Tioga Surefoots do the trick for me, but they can be tough to find.

    Book title question

OK, this is going to sound a little weird, but whatever, this site has the largest group of Britons I can ask this of...I'm trying to find out the title of a bawdy English book that I read back in my teens; it's something I read one summer when I was staying at my grandparents, found it in a...

Seatpost diameter for De-Kerf team SL?

It should be the 27.2 - seems to me that's the seat post diameter for all Dekerf MTBs.

199? Dekerf spotted in Pemberton, BC

A friend of mine saw this in front of the bike shop and got a couple of pictures for me. Looks like they just slapped on whatever was laying around the shop. I don't know whether to be amused or horrified upon looking at it for too long.

'07 Dekerf Team SST - non retro-ish content, kinda sorta

Cheers all...as for the questions, comments: I ran cantis on it last year but was not happy with them...had a Pedersen SE version of the Suntour, with a matching Suntour XC Pro on the front. I found the cantis extended out a bit too far on the back and I was bumping my ankles on them, plus the...
