Sunday morning was spent on the bike, doing a couple of hours loop to get out of the urban area and into the countryside. With the addition of mudguards and swapping the saddle for a Brooks B15 (where have you been all my life??) it was a really nice morning.
Yes indeed they are M5, I'm using 16mm long which is longer than necessary.
I also have one holding a P-clip in place at the back as a cable guide with what I think is an M4*12 bolt on the eyelet. One detail I should mention in using v brakes was I ran the cable outer the full length from lever...
Thanks folks - yes I feel quite lucky with how well the decals are holding up, and the paint responded well to the polish (Maguire's Ultimate Compound, and Autoglym Super Resin, then Collinite Doublecoat wax).

Thanks! @eric_james yeah I think I'll go with a clear vinyl strip, and hopefully the clutch on the derailleur will help keep the chain tight enough to stop most of the knocks

The paint comes out quite bright in the daylight and the decals on the fork match the frame perfectly. Really looking forward to taking it out on and see how it handles on the trails.
