I bought it from Chalky as frame only, it had never been built up previously. I cannot recall the exact timeline, but it was after Henry's shop had closed as Mick was at Freewheel at this point. The shop closed in September 1988 and he had been at Freewheel for a while so I think it would be 89...

Now have some pics from John. He says Chalky got the initials engraved on the fork crown by Barry who used to do all the engraving on the Clarion trophies.
Yes memories for me too, I spent many Saturdays in the workshop during the 60s and early 70s, drinking tea and drooling over kit I couldn't afford!

I know of another three, my neighbour has one. I'll see if I can get a photo. He had Chalky cut his initials into the fork crown. Nice touch but limits your market if you want to sell it on🙂
