    1996 Kona Hahanna

Shimano middle chainrings got the profiling with M900 XTR. The outers a year or so later with SG-X Dual SIS. The whole range got it in 93. Everyone else had a version soon after as is the way these things go. 👍 😁

    Anti-theft parts bin sh*tter.

Needs faded branding. PBS Hitter? 🤔 Otherwise great project. 👍 😁

    1995 Rocky Mountain Vertex

Black would be my preference but it's the specific 110mm x 15° that I would be looking for. If your silver one is those dimensions please send me some pics and a price. 👍 😁 Interesting to know the original cranks were actually red, they look very orange in the catalogue shot.

Great news. Ebay drops seller charges!

Yes, unlucky. :( It was apparently in one of those screw together plastic containers Hope use for headsets inside the box. Probably thought he'd got a nice watch or similar. Then thought 'WTF is that?' When actually opened. :) Doesn't matter what was in the box, it still should have arrived...

    1995 Rocky Mountain Vertex

Thanks :) Yeah the stem's my bugbear, it doesn't look good in my opinion. I'm thinking Syncros because A: Canadian and B: The slanted top cap will match nicely with the top of the seat tube. :)

    1995 Rocky Mountain Vertex

Thanks Matti :) I won't lie, it was bought on a whim because it was cheap and filled the aluminium hardtail shaped hole in my collection. I have fallen for it though, it's a fantastic ride and I think it looks great! M901 front mech is incoming. Then finishing kit and I reckon this one's a...

    1995 Rocky Mountain Vertex

Mavic ceramic/Hope wheels back on with a tan Smoke and Dart. Ceramic brake pads. Judy SL allowed me to get rid of the headset spacers. It's closer to the T.O. spec than original. I would like to change the finishing kit. Nothing wrong with Titec but it does seem to end up on all my builds, might...

Great news. Ebay drops seller charges!

We've had Laura, the same Evri driver for 10 years plus, she's brilliant. Last year another one appeared. He went AWOL for a couple of hours whilst out on delivery then I received a very neatly resealed empty box instead of a Chris King headset. It was all sorted with insurance moneywise but...

How Many Bikes Do You Think You Have Owned Over The Years….?

I've no idea exactly but would guess somewhere around 200ish. Currently have 14 rideable and could probably whip up 2-3 more from the stash. :)

    1995 Rocky Mountain Vertex

Been out on it a couple of times now. Couple of changes have been made. Changed the wheels and tyres, saddle and stem. Fits better but would like a nicer stem. Rides really nicely, picks up speed quickly and feels really solid in a good way. Weighs in at bang on 24lbs or 10.89kg. 👍 😁

    1995 Rocky Mountain Vertex

Saw this frame going pretty cheap on Ebay, decided I didn't need another project and moved on. A few days later it appeared again, I was fairly surprised no one had bought it and thought sod it. 😁 As you do. Turned up the other day. Nice frame, it's simple, no bells and whistles, pretty good...

    Wanted Raceface Turbine LP cranks

Yep, that's the one. 👍 😁 I have a suitable set of inner ring bolts in the stash and the spacers are 8.3mm from memory? 🤔 I have another set on a different bike I can measure though to be sure. I can do it with Wheels Manufacturing spacers if need be but yes better to find a set with them...

    Wanted Raceface Turbine LP cranks

Hi Tim, Yes, I bought the Vertex. 😁 I can do that, no problem 👍 It's supposed to arrive midweek, as soon as it arrives I'll take a few photos with a tape measure to hand and send them your way. Thanks, Ben. 🙂

    Bontrager Race Lite

DT hubs, DT spokes, Sapim nipples. I've found the Sapim ones to be a lot more resilient than DTs which tend to crumble within a couple of years. Being realistic I have quite a few bikes so this won't see use in shitty weather and is kept inside. Also the way things work with my bike collection...
