Nope. They fixed the tarmac a couple of years ago, both ways, up and down as the road is actually a one-way-loop to the mountain and back into the city

Quite a bit more cloud today to start the day, cleared up and by the end of the ride it was blue sky. Warmer air so not even cool in the shade, made for a nice ride.

Lots of people out, which was surprising, saw a couple out on what sounded like old rattly bikes, turned out to be new, which was worrying.

Knee still strapped so steady again, which suited the weather, glad I made the effort.

Probably my most done ride, couple of miles of boring climb on tarmac and then the good stuff. Wasn't great seeing temporary traffic lights on the usually fast downhill section but still a good ride.

Technically last night's ride but only just got online since. Evening ride filled with drama (broken bike, lights nearly running out of battery and a several mile detour due to a lorry in a ditch) but still felt amazing. I love evening and night rides.

Yes it's a modern carrera but it was built out of scrap when I couldn't even afford to fix my bike and its done me proud.

To be honest I like them. This was abandoned outside for a year so was a wreck when I got given it. The plan was to fix and sell it back in December but I ended up keeping it. All in it owes me about £20 .
