Recent frame purchase that im entirely stoked on. @1552 had it powder coated w fresh graphics from Gil. I did tweak the graphics I totally intended to stay the course w 1552s vision but neglected to notice that the purple in Gil’s rd was much darker than what came on the rig. After kicking around taking the graphics somewhere local to reprint I just went with em. The graphics were in great shape I just love old timey looking head badges and had seen this on a Funk road bike I believe. Also wanted to move them down towards the bottle cage mounts because ocd.
my most recent build was a Dagger that frankly I’ll probably refuse to take on single track, at least I’m fairly certain I wouldn’t take it full on and or often. This being powder coated and rigid rear end with a recently rebuilt shock I’m going to kinda dedicate it to trails/riding. As of now I’m popping a few reissue items on it and going with new Paul levers etc I’ll be on the prowl for purple canti levers that are periodic correct of course. I’ve got a nice nos vetta sl titanium I can swap out w the white sella Italia I’ve got on order should I want to get it correct ish as well. USE bar/bar end combo was a kick ass find-I’d never seen this item before and in purple at a great price, stoked. Bullseye front hub w fresh bearings. Cr 17/cr16 hoops. Cooks crankset. A Sachs neos extra long cage I had originally purchased because I didn’t think my Sachs Quarz on the dagger would handle the 46 tooth the cranks packing- when I kinda rethought this bike as a rider and started looking at options for rear derailleur I couldn’t think of anything better.
Anyways cheers!

Just seen this 😀

Great start to this build, very reminiscent of my original plans.

Interestingly, the purple bar and bar ends, did you buy them as a set together? If they are basically mint, they may also have been mine 😂

Bought as a set nos. Missing one of the half moon washers and both bolts though grrr I’m trying to figure out something similar in size I can fabricate.
