Bikes and Bridges

This one's a has been.
There used to be a swing bridge here, the two main footings remain, and the turbulence in the foreground is from the wheel of the swing mechanism. It fell in 1908, quite the little disaster

In the background, Queen Elizabeth II Bridge, Dartford. In the foreground 1997 Palisades Trail heavily modded. Taken on a windy ride along the Thames path from Greenwich to Dartford to pick up my car.

Dorset! That's the only answer I can give....
Next time I am out that way I will try to get a straight on shot of the bridge, did not fancy wading into the ford this time. Wet feet? No thanks.
