For Sale Saab 9-3 Turbo coupe 3dr SE Hot

Ooooh nice. I had a 900 turbo in the 80s. How much would fixes cost do you reckon?
Parts: I’d say *£150 or **£400 for an *exhaust/ **stainless exhaust; £100 for a cabin blower rheostat; £50? Handbrake shoes. Add a few hours labour or DIY, and an MOT - it’s then rolling and working. Maybe another £100 for a service for peace of mind, and beyond that it’s cosmetics, & ahem, embellishments (could go to town on it or just drive).

Oh, and the boot is cavernous, so could be an express pooch mobile 🐾 although I’ve kept ours out of it so far ….

Don't encourage him, it will end up with cow horn bars instead of a steering wheel........ with tassles in the ends. A plastic rainbow coloured unicorn head on the bonnet, and a CB aerial welded to the roof. You have been warned 😂 😂
Fantastic looking car though, if I needed one, I may have considered it

If he does that, I'm in for £20 too🤘

Spent couple of hours researching. Unfortunately i'm out as I'm looking for a reliable slightly odd runabout that's cheap to insure and hopefully frugal for the days when motorcycle commuting isnt ok ok or i need a big boot. This mondeo or golf estate size. Or this.

This could be a lovely drive but a bit of a headache for me at least having no garage to work in.

Thanks though.

If it was sorted........

I currently have a 1999 5 door Viggen which is in daily use and a later 2009 9-3 convertible. I previously had a 2002 9-3 SE which I took from 40k miles to 170k miles without too many dramas.

Early Viggen - very cool - are they a handful?
It's has a few tweaks - steering rack brace and some poly bushing, standard 9-3 shocks rather than the viggen ones to try and cope better with the pot holes, Abbott Racing thicker rear anti roll bar and a BSR stage 1 remap. It's only wise to plant the pedal if you are pointing in a straight line, it's not good having it kick into warp speed on a bend. Come April I will have owned it 10 years and have thoroughly enjoyed it
