show us your gt's

I bought my first 5 GT's from the same shop in Leamington Spa, 3 of which were 1992 models. First green Timberline, then Pantera (both got stolen) Daktari white Timberline. the other two GT's were a GT Performer BMX and my 1993 GT Zaskar frame, which I built up, see my other posts.

Whilst using the white Timberline to commute to work I was also in the process of building up my 1993 GT Zaskar, which when finished was my go to bike to ride everywhere. It was 31 years ago and I might have sold the white Timberline.
I preferred the alternate colour myself, dark green was and still is one of my favourite colours.

Hello guys! I've just got a 1992 Pantera and I was wondering if any of you have seen or owned one of these with suntour as described in the 92 catalog. All I've seen in Europe are fitted with shimano. I've also noticed that the rear U-brake is anodized black instead of bare aluminum as the majority of the images available around internet. This will be the second Pantera 92 I own and both have black U-brakes... It will take some time and love to put this baby back as it was in the 90s but I promise to upload some good shots once it's done.
After riding (and have fun) with the original LX groupset I've decided to upgrade her to 1x9, playing a little with some components I found in my garage. Converted to tubeless also.

New cheapo commuter bike build. A frame I've had a while and now in its third iteration and my first rigid build. Great for road biased riding with maybe with odd off-road detour on summer evenings. Far from period correct, built with spare parts from other builds and lots of gear range for the hilly roads round Malvern.

1999 Karakoram Frame, double butted, 18"
3 X 9 gears, SLX 11-34 cassette, Deore shifters, Raceface 44t, Specialties TA 32t & generic steel 22t inner ring on a Sugino crankset, SunRace gold 9 speed hollow pin chain, DMR V6 pedals.
XT & LX V-brakes.
Araya TM-820 rims & Alivio hubs (wheelset off my '96 RTS 3) freehub converted from 7 to 8 speed spacing.
Late model GT 100mm stem, Orange Supercross 2 riser and Vans Cult grips by ODI.

700D, Dual fork rake option, original flip/flop stem, Cross Over series, Suntour XC Ltd w/ command controls.
Not a show pony but a 30 pound “beast”.
Pick up new set of 36 hole 700D rims so on the hunt for proper hubs for an aggressive tire set.
